Initial cleanup[edit]

I did some basic cleanup, but being a new article there are still issues. Basically, here is what I did:

  • Removed the "Notes" and descriptions in empty headers. If a section doesn't have info yet, don't include it. Having an empty section or one that has "add this info" isn't appropriate. There are appropriate tags for many issues that come up as well so leaving notes in an article isn't necessary. It is also a good idea to use this talk page to discuss problems.
  • Removed the Notable faculty section. None of these faculty have their own Wikipedia articles. Generally, if someone does not have their own Wikipedia article, chances are they shouldn't be included with few exceptions. The same goes for Notable alumni.
  • Moved alumni list near end of article. See WP:WPSCH/AG for the guidelines for the Schools Wikiproject.
  • Moved sources. Put sources in the body of the article, not the section headers. If they reference an entire paragraph, place it at the end of the paragraph.
  • Removed some external links. Basically the external links need to be directly related to the entire school, so links to the marching band, drama club, or other organization usually aren't a good idea. Once one is included, then every group at the school thinks their link should be there. Generally, the district website and the school's website are sufficient. An alumni group link can be included too if an alumni association exists.

Have a look at the guidelines for school articles (WP:WPSCH/AG). Feel free to ask questions as well. --JonRidinger (talk) 16:33, 29 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
