Untitled[edit]

"He became a specialist in ship sabotage and, by using Limpet mine, sank ships that were important to the German Kriegsmarine, including the SS Monte Rosa in 1944". In the SS Monte Rosa page it says that it got only small damages and that it was still in use until after 1947. massive clean up and corrections needed as well as citations[edit]

-It's silly to include a part about Manus's father's name change without even mentioning his mother's name. Also, no mention of his siblings.

-His wife's full name should be used and not just her nickname (Ida Nikoline "Tikken" Lie Lindebrække). It's mentioned later in the article.

-Why are we only talking about one of his companies and not both in the intro, that's odd.

- Shouldn't "His autobiographical accounts" either be a concise summary of all of his books or instead make that a section about his life? Doing both randomly makes no sense.

-No mention of his time in Cuba, which was rather important to his first book and to his life.

-His underground newspaper isn't named (Vi vil oss et land).

-He escaped the Gestapo by jumping out of a window.

-He didn't go to the US, he went to Canada when he escaped, then to England. Journey took 7 months by the way.

-What on earth does "loose and somewhat concise" mean when referring to the English translations? One example is given (the changing of names), but what else is only "loosely" translated? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.253.74.183 (talk) 16:55, 15 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Max Manus and the 2011 Norway attacks[edit]

Please see Summary for the deletion of the "Legacy" section. Wikipedia policy indicates that we should write artciles with due weight in mind. When everything else fails, it is always good to use common sense: the 2011 Norway attacks are obviously NOT the legacy of the historic figure, Max Manus. Copyedit[edit]

In para five of the intro he "...received the British Military Cross and Bar". Yet in para one a DSO is also mentoned, as it is in the 'Honours and awards' section.
Is there a reason for this strange omission?

"...initially an American, very loose and somewhat concise translated..." This segment, from the 'His auobiographcal accounts' section, para seven, is referred to above. How can something be 'very loose' and 'somewhat concise' at the same time? Its a bit like saying "a car is fast but slow" in the same sentence.

I think the blue pencil is needed here
