I have removed the section and added just a simple summary to the prose. It in no way needs its own section with a bunch of fabricated dribble that reads really poorly, and like AirWolf pointed out, the neutrality was definitely in question. DaHuzyBru (talk) 16:23, 25 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I am requesting to edit this page because Matthew Dellavedova is playing at an extraordinary level in the 2015 NBA Finals and I would like to keep his page current and up to date with his game statistics and highlights. Many of his contributions will not show up in a box score so they must be logged and written in detail to show his effect on the games he has played in. Such contributions would be diving on loose balls and maintaining possession for his team. I feel that many people will be searching for information on him as he is relatively unknown in the NBA community, therefore, an up to date web page with the most current information is necessary. Clarification needed: "Boomers"[edit]

The word "Boomers" appears near the end of the article with no context. I can find out from Wikipedia that this is the name of the Australian National Team. IMHO, either that should be explained in the article, or the word "Boomers" should just be taken out. I'm not going to do it though, but instead I'll leave this edit to someone who actually knows something about the topic.

@NathanReading: I have clarified this in the article. The Boomers are the Australian national team's nickname. It's a common thing for Australian sporting teams, and it is stated in the lead of the national team's article: "The team is known in Australia as the Boomers, an Australian slang term for Kangaroo". @Kalope: You can always go to WP:RFPP and request page protection, however, Dellavedova's article isn't overly run with vandalism. It's rather sparing and there's only been 20 or so edits so far in 2016. I don't think it warrants protection at this point. DaHuzyBru (talk) 07:55, 22 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Based on past protection history[1], I've semi-protected for 1yr. 20 edits in a month is actually decent activity, but more telling is the overwhelming majority is not constructive. I think I read somewhere that the average rate of vandalism for all users (registered and unregistered) was about 10% of edits on Wikipedia. So anything significantly higher for unregistered is a candidate for protection.—Bagumba (talk) 09:49, 23 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Bench player designation[edit]

Is the “bench player” designation necessary in the article’s lede? I think simply “player” on the cavs championship team is clear enough, especially considering he played significant minutes during the playoffs that year, and the previous year. In- line with other articles about players that have won championships, perhaps a better sentence might be: “Dellevadova won the 2016 NBA championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers.” As it reads now it just seems a strange, unnecessary designation.
