August 2006[edit]

am I the only one whose seen him in a softcore porn show? Something like redshoe diaries.. Actually, a friend of mine saw it too ;p He meets this chick on the top floor of the building, then on the elevator ride down, knocks her up, then leaves as old buisness men enter. I can't believe this isn't mentioned! :( Lovok 14:35, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It should be mentioned that LeBlanc isn't a "French" name as such but an Acadian name. There were a lot of Acadian people who settled in Massachusetts when the British deported them from New Brunswick and that kind of area (a couple of hundred years ago). Therefore there are still a lot of Acadian descendents there. Anyone named LeBlanc is obviously one of them. I feel this should be mentioned in the section about his heritage. Newer photo?[edit]

Can we get a photo that's less than 13 years old? Nerrolken (talk) 04:53, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Probably, but it's not gonna make him any more talented. 207.237.228.54 (talk) 06:58, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. Get another. The current image is soo dated 91.100.52.41 (talk) 10:51, 16 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please get a different picture. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.182.61.245 (talk) 14:59, 13 July 2010 (UTC) This is the first thing that struck me when coming onto the page. He's obviously rather illusive from the public. Either that, or fans with more recent photos aren't sharing with us... --Woodgreener (talk) 00:55, 25 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Seger Video[edit]

The article cites LeBlanc's appearance in Bob Seger's "Night Moves" video as occuring in the "late 80s." I'm pretty certain that this video was first released in 1994, shortly before Friends premiered, as a promotion for Greatest Hits (Bob Seger album). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.90.175.151 (talk) 05:25, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reliable sources[edit]

Who would have thought it would be so hard to find some reliable sources for this article. Google news and google books have been minimally helpful at finding anything of substance so far. -- The Red Pen of Doom 04:04, 31 March 2009 (UTC) Here are some of the more likely looking links if anyone wants to figure out how to put them into the article:[reply]

French Canadian? Jewish? Any background info?[edit]

It had been misreported here for quite sometime that LeBlanc is Italian, merely because he appeared in a play in Providence, RI playing an Italian. His father seems to be French Canadian/Acadian and that is the source of his last name. His mother's last name is stated to be Grossman. There are no references online that came up quickly to a search for "Matt LeBlanc Jewish", and Grossman could be a Christian German name, though it often is almost always used by Ashkenazi Jews. Any other information besides that from his father needs a citation, and no conjecture (Italian/Jewish/German/Dutch/Portuguese have all been seen) should be included without a reference. JesseRafe (talk) 23:23, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I actually, mistook the location of the reference. The French or French-Canadian bit is also unreferenced, as that source only lists his parents' names and professions. JesseRafe (talk) 23:26, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Seems someone removed his mother's last name entirely now. Swapnil 404 (talk) 00:53, 2 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You could be right. The LeBlanc settlers in Acadia now have *200,000* living descendents spread out across North America, if he's of that lineage. 174.115.112.134 (talk) 04:02, 7 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Twitter[edit]

Apparently Matt has a Twitter account. So how about putting it in his profile page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.66.30.168 (talk) 17:35, 16 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Social media pages are generally not added to the external links section, but even if Twitter were to be added, it has to be a verified account, and this one isn't.--Bbb23 (talk) 17:53, 16 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Red Shoe Diaries[edit]

There was no Red Shoe Diaries in 1991... According to IMDB he took part in two episodes during 1992 and 1993. Neukoln (talk) 18:58, 2 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
