Peirce Jastrow experiment on perception of weight[edit]

Charles Sanders Peirce conducted many experiments on psychophysics, which are acknowledged classics, for example appearing on the on-line collection of Classics in Psychology, or the articles by Trudy Dehue and Ian Hacking. Would [editor] who [| removed this material] please restore it, and then argue on this TALK page for its removal (or correction or improvement)? The first randomized experiment in the history refutiing some doctrines of psychophics would seem to be of interest. Thank you. Kiefer.Wolfowitz (talk) 19:04, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I see no objection to my restoring the previous section on Peirce and Jastrow. I agree that more transition is needed.

Cognition "entirely absent"[edit]

This history is wrong. Charles Sanders Peirce investigated cognition, as did his students: The most influential student was John Dewey, whose How We Think studied cognition, etc. Kiefer.Wolfowitz (talk) 20:27, 24 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
