Hello @ImSonyR9:, I am planning on reviewing this article for GA Status, probably on a day or over the next couple of days. I am also a member of WP:Cricket but never contributed to this article. Thank you for nominating the article for GA status. I hope I will learn some new information, and that my feedback is helpful. I noticed a handful of recent edits.

The article is currently a C-class article and need lots of copyediting and certain sections need some sources. The content in the article has gone apart from WP:NPOV at certain instances when the subject has been exaggerated in writing.

  • Domestic career

"He was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for the 2009 Indian Premier League; although KKR paid US$600,000 for Mortaza." Do you have source to verify the fact that he was bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders?

"Due to his international commitments, Mortaza has infrequently played for Khulna Division in Bangladesh's domestic cricket competitions" This sentence too need a reliable source.

"While he has represented Bangladesh 36 times in Tests and in 100 ODIs between 2001 and 2005 he played only 11 first-class and 9 list A matches for Khulna Division in the same period" This sentence looks clumsy and needs copyediting.

"In 2012 he joined the Dhaka Gladiators and 2015 from Comilla Victorians in the newly formed Bangladesh Premier League twenty20 competition and captained them to the tournament title and led Comilla Victorians clinch the title of the third 3rd Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) as well as champion of 2017 Bangladesh Premier League fourth time as captain. This time he played for Rangpur Riders" This paragraph also needs copyediting and the words/phrases used in this paragraph look weird and colloquial.

  • Personal life

"Both they have a son and daughter" This sentence needs minor copyediting.

  • Emergence

"The pace and aggression Mortaza displayed as an under-19 player impressed Andy Roberts, the former West Indian fast bowler, who was acting as a temporary bowling coach for Bangladesh." Is there any reliable source which can prove this statement whether the veteran fast bowler Roberts was impressed with young Mortaza?

  • Success

The image which is posted under this section on the left hand side has caption "Mortaza become man of the match by his both his all round performance England in Dhaka" which needs copyediting.

  • 2019 World Cup

"His performance in the World Cup was very poor having picked up just 1 wicket in 8 matches and Bangladesh also finished 8th in the points table." The sentence seems colloquial and needs modification. The sentence also needed to cited with a source.

  • Retirement

"Though Mortaza has not retired from Test cricket, he was forced to quit playing Test matches after he injured his right leg while captaining the side for the first time in 2009 against West Indies. Since then, he has not represented his country in any test matches." Needed a source to verify whether Mortaza didn't play in test cricket after 2009.

"He is one of the best & success captain of Bangladesh." This sentence in the retirement section not needed. It has been already covered.

@Abishe: Any update as I assume this is a fail. HawkAussie (talk) 01:35, 15 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@HawkAussie: sorry for the delayed response and I actually waited for ImSony to correct the issues which I mentioned but couldn't obtain any response. I reviewed this article for the WikiCup. This is a failed nomination. Abishe (talk) 17:07, 31 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
