Deaths of Mary and Henry[edit]

Based on the Emmanuel Church Register [1]. Low quality extract here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/da-pi/50039997732/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by DaPi (talkcontribs) 08:00, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

According to the register, Henry died on 9th July (not 4th). https://gw.geneanet.org/pierfit?lang=en&p=henry+isaac&n=barbey also gives death of Henry as "Deceased 9 July 1906 - Bellevue, Canton de Genève (Suisse)".

The register gives Mary's burial place as Genthod, and that of Henry as Bellevue. These are two neighbouring communes (municipalities) in the Canton of Geneva and today, with three others, form one parish. There is a church in Genthod, I don't think there was ever one in Bellevue. It would be strange for Mary's body to have been repatriated from Paris to be buried a couple of miles from her husband! A possible scenario, for both, was a funeral service in Genthod church followed by burial in Bellevue.
