Death[edit]

I don't know if he died or not but until an actual reliable source can be provided, stop adding the death date and nonsense like this. Praxidicae (talk) 19:08, 2 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

He did pass away, but not officially announced yet. [1] Funandtrvl (talk) 19:35, 2 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Funandtrvl I'd suggest reverting your edit that re-adds his death date as that is very specifically not a reliable or acceptable source, it's a fan blog. Praxidicae (talk) 20:28, 2 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • I have reverted this again. A fan blog is not a reliable source and this is still considered a WP:BLP. It should not be added back until a reliable source has published an obituary or death date. Praxidicae (talk) 20:46, 2 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Praxidicae: Hi, it wasn't me who was adding the death date or non-reliable source. I just commented above that the death announcement would be forthcoming. I posted the link to the fan page, but I didn't use it, on purpose, in the article, as I knew it was a fan blog. Funandtrvl (talk) 03:20, 6 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Is the Chicago Daily Herald a reliable source to confirm his death....https://www.dailyherald.com/entlife/20200102/martin-grebb-x2014-unsung-hero-of-music-world-x2014-dead-at-74 Donaldd23 (talk) 12:29, 3 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Deceased[edit]

I don't get what's so hard about this and why it takes only an administrator, multiple sources have said he died.

He's dead. Unprotect this page and let people edit it. https://www.dailyherald.com/entlife/20200102/martin-grebb-x2014-unsung-hero-of-music-world-x2014-dead-at-74 Donaldd23 (talk) 00:04, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I've also requested the admin responsible to unlock the article. Ghmyrtle (talk) 22:58, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Go for it. To answer the above question (in #Deceased) it's not hard to make a change like this, but it must be backed by reliable sources like the ones provided. The previous attempts, which resulted in the page being locked, were very much not in that category. Primefac (talk) 02:30, 5 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
