A lot more to this guy than just him serving one term in Congress....[edit]

Littleton was one of the famous lawyers of the early 1900s due to his successful defense of Harry K. Thaw. Time magazine also called him the highest paid lawyer in the US at one point. Pretty good for a guy who according to sources left home at age 11 and worked his way up from nothing. I am trying to flesh out his article a bit as he deserves something a bit better than this.

Please note, all this is sourced and I am in the process of adding references, so if you could be so kind as to tag for "citation needed" instead of mass deletions, that would be helpful.

Maud Littleton's antisemitic crusade against the Levy family[edit]

Maud Littleton appears in this article to have been a hero seeking to save Monticello. This couldn't be farther from the truth. Maude Littleton was an antisemite who couldn't stand seeing a Jewish family considered patriotic. There is a wonderful documentary released this year (2022) called The Levys of Monticello by director Steven Pressman which relates the true story of Monticello and the hatemongering perpetrated by Littleton. I am new to Wikipedia editing, and so I don't believe I would be able to make a change to this article without having it removed (for lack of experience). Instead I will drop the above link, this link to a review of the documentary that specifically describes Littleton's vile behavior, and this article on the Monticello website that further describes Littleton's slander of the Levys, in hope that editors will correct this tragic portrayal of hatred of Jews as somehow patriotic.
