Epitaphs?[edit]

I have flagged as 'dubious' that she was "known for composing elegies for tombstones in Fletton churchyard". I accept that reflects Hyam but it seems dodgy.

Hyam's claim seems to be based on The Gentleman's Magazine, Vol. 66, (1789) mentioning one epitaph for the parish clerk, Newel(l) Edis, which was composed by "Rev. Dr. Peckard and his lady".

The ODNB claims only the clerk's epitaph for her. Nedrutland (talk) 09:19, 17 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Nedrutland I have one more time studied all the material and agree with you on that. The info available in the sources mentions only on 1 elegy, which can't be generalized. I will remove this sentence. Thank you for your contribution! Less Unless (talk) 14:52, 18 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
