Fair use rationale for Image:Marco 03.jpg[edit]

Image:Marco 03.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Discography section[edit]

There is a bit of a debate on the changes for the article's Discography section, as I have been reformatting it to feature only the artist's major works as per Wikipedia:WikiProject_Musicians/Article_guidelines#Discography_section. The articles Tuomas Holopainen and Anette Olzon have had theirs changed to be reformatted for the same reason, though it continues to be reverted. Is there a way we can come up with a solution to this, or better yet, to have a third opinion between the edit I made and the reverted edit? HorrorLover555 (talk) 03:03, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • By the way, you might want to read WP:Communication is required, an essay that explains one aspect of our WP:Disruptive editing policy. If you engage in reverting people, you are obligated to engage in discussion after a revert or two. Failure to communicate with other editors who are trying to discuss in good faith is indeed a violation of policy, and will get you blocked from editing. I hope it doesn't come to that, but you can't just keep reverting people and avoid discussion. Again, that essay is worth reading. Dennis Brown - 01:25, 4 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You use Wikipedia:WikiProject_Musicians/Article_guidelines#Discography_section as an example, but this page is mainly an example of a band and it's very difficult to put him in a single band. In order to highlight the uniqueness of his musical activities, we believe that his collaborative works should also be treated as his major works. If you want to remove collaborations from the discography on Marko's page, instead of referring to U2#Discography as an example of a good discography section, shouldn't we also refer to Bono#Collaborations , Buckethead#Buckethead's_bands_and_projects and add it to Marko's page? Errorrate (talk) 19:21, 5 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't have to apply just like a band, it can apply with any musician. Anette Olzon's discography is a good example of what I am talking about, as it did have a sub-section for guest appearances before the Wikipedia:WikiProject_Musicians/Article_guidelines#Discography_section edit to feature her major works. HorrorLover555 (talk) 02:51, 6 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, you mean don't put it in DISCOGRAPHY. However, it is wildly inappropriate to delete an entire section that is important to represent his career. To use Annette's page as an analogy, the deleted section should be added as Anette_Olzon#Other_works, still in a separate section from the discography, like Bono#Collaborations or Buckethead#Buckethead's_bands_and_projects. Just checked the changes on the page. That looks a little better. Thank you. HorrorLover555 (talk) 02:41, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

About undoing revision 1150702489 and the "hiatus"[edit]

The source is quoting Marco himself: "it obviously gave me the last incentive that I need something else, that if I just continue with this I'm just gonna get sicker and sicker." The fact that he was doing the Masked Man and the collaboration with Therion at the time he took his decision proves that he had been looking at other creative outlets for a while.
