Patent table[edit]

Hey, I added a table list of patents that I found online. If there is a better way to organize this information, can someone let me know please. --PhobozFear (talk) 23:38, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'll be interested to see if any folks have ideas on this, too. Rhizomesandranch (talk) 15:15, 31 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Opinions on Mark Dean near the end[edit]

While I, an electrical engineer, can understand the significance of his contributions to society, the end of this article (all about not forgetting his legacy and making sure we attribute him etc.) is entirely opinion and implies the reader should feel a certain way, where the job of an encyclopedia is to present only the facts. If someone wants to word this differently, then okay, but otherwise if there are no objections I will delete what amounts to someone's agenda soon. Thoughts appreciated. No need to do that

no it's not becuase he is black... martin luthor king has much more information than some white people. it's probably because everyone is too lazy or dont know much about him--99.178.202.142 (talk) 17:48, 9 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

    • There's not much info on him because there is not much info to share. Black racists often use Mark Dean to peddle the lie that a black person "invented" the computer. Not only is this not even remotely true, but the part about Mr. Dean holding IBM patents is dubious. I cannot find a source that verifies this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.70.177.181 (talk) 01:56, 31 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I think I have a few links. They don't really prove that Mark holding IMB patents but, here.[1] , [2] and [3] don't forget this [4] -stormgrazer27

PC Patents? Really?[edit]

What are these "patents" on the IBM PC ? This [5] sums up the argument that there were no IBM PC-specific patents. --Wtshymanski (talk) 20:37, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This list [6] doesn't show any patents prior to 1981 when the PC was introduced. --Wtshymanski (talk) 20:53, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think those 'patients' might be customers. But, I really have no i idea. -stormgrazer27

Reddit interview[edit]

There's a good deal of personal information available here: http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/g5rqg/my_name_is_mark_dean_i_am_a_fellow_at_ibm_hold_22/ , though you'd have to check how it was verified to ensure it's him for certain.

Your en.wikipedia.org - cool resource[edit]

Mi dispiace, ma, a mio parere, si sbaglia. Io propongo di discuterne. vasantEt — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.186.142.202 (talk) 12:57, 3 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
