Untitled[edit]

  • The proposed deletion should not be on this page, he's the current MPP, not a municipal candidate. -- pm_shef 22:11, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Sorry, I didn't realize at first that MPP is a state/provincewide position (which does satisfy WP:BIO). I'll withdraw the nomination. OhNoitsJamieTalk 22:18, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

POV Edits[edit]

I believe that the following section, as well as the External link to the Vaughan Watch website is PoV, clearly, the edit war that can be seen in the history shows that other people may believe otherwise. The section is:
In 2004, he was the driving force behind the construction of a new statue of Pierre Trudeau in Vaughan. It is unknown how the nearby gazebo was paid for [1]."
I don't really see how the Gazebo has anything to do with Racco being the "driving force" behind the statue. How is the gazebo relevant at all? And how does the Vaughan Watch page add to the content of this article, besides just spam links? pm_shef 00:38, 4 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, the gazebo bit is totally irrelevant. -Joshuapaquin 05:16, 4 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The gazebo is right next to the statue. It was built at the same time. Yet the news issue is that it's not known how the gazebo is paid for. Misappropriation of money is a major issue in Vaughan, and warrants inclusion. VaughanWatch 00:28, 6 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    1. The way it was included makes it look like the article is accusing Racco of having it built illigitimately, that is considered PoV.
    2. Show me a source (that isn't your own website) that has any evidence regarding "misappropriation of money" being a major issue in vaughan. pm_shef 02:17, 6 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Negative Comments RE: Atlantic Canada[edit]

Mario Racco recently made negative comments about the economic status of the Atlantic provinces. I know the Toronto Star broke the story with a couple articles, but all I can find is this http://www.newswire.ca/en/releases/archive/July2006/19/c7967.html . Perhaps this is something that someone would like to expand upon? 72.137.224.24 01:51 17 October 2006

  • I remember that as well a couple a couple months ago. If you can find a reference from a major media outlet (to show that it's important), go ahead. -- Chabuk 13:34, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Seeing as how he made these comments in July and its now four months later, would it possible to find the article from the Toronto Star or any other newspaper? Please assist if possible...72.137.224.24 10:03, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
