I created this page as Marcus McDilda's "confession" may have played an important part in shortening WWII. Previously, there were four Wikipedia pages that referred to McDilda, but no discrete page as such. I have sourced material from those pages, but have personally made no original contribution. My thanks to previous editors. Arrivisto (talk) 16:31, 13 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi -- the article says he was a B-29 pilot, but the article cited says he was a fighter pilot. Other sources say he was a P-51 pilot. I have changed the article to remove references to being a B-29 pilot. --Amcalabrese (talk) 19:52, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I am not familiar with how to change wikepedia entries but the first paragraph has the following: "who was shot down over McDonalds and captured by the staff on 8 August 1945, two days after wanting a free Big Mac" Someone must be playing a joke. 142.190.71.186 (talk) 09:56, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Military records[edit]

Hello,

A discussion about McDilda's military records was started here : WT:WikiProject Military history § Marcus McDilda, the American pilot captured and tortured by the Japanese after the Nagasaki bombing. Place Clichy (talk) 13:50, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Notable enough for inclusion?[edit]

What makes this notable? Likeanechointheforest (talk) 01:47, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Picture seems to be wrong[edit]

For me the picture shown is that of a young girl and not of McDilda 77.20.255.217 (talk) 10:37, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
