In possession of a bottle of Amarena (sour cherry syrup) manufactured by Maraska. The place of origin is Zadar, Yugoslavia- obviously before the breakup in 1991. The ingredients are just sugar, cherry juice and citric acid. No Marascan cherries.
A search today verified the unavailability of the plant, there appear to be no images available of any trees in existence, and information on products like Luxardo
reveals ingredients which include cherries in Marasca Cherry Juice. We would be more convinced if they at least sported a picture of an actual tree from whence this syrup comes.--Lmstearn (talk) 06:21, 2 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Aren't the candied Maraschino cherries Luxardo sells made from actual Marasca cherries? They are supposed to own 22,000 Marasca cherry trees, said to be the largest cherry orchard in the European Union. 173.88.241.33 (talk) 17:10, 24 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
