Archive URL[edit]

@Gog the Mild: Hi Gog, How are you? You just archived an url in article. But that article is from Paywall database. So the archived page doesn't provide full text of article. It shows 'Log in' button. Also we do not need to put access-date, as the article has been published in a journal (also available in physical copy). --Gazal world (talk) 07:01, 27 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Gazal world: Hi. I am good thanks, how is everything going with you? I note the {{pong|Gog the Mild}}. I haven't seen that before. Is it new? When should one use it?
Re the archiving: apologies, I should have checked that more thoroughly. Thanks for pointing it out. I have reverted my edit.
Note that WP:SOURCELINKS states "If the publisher offers a link to the source or its abstract that does not require a payment or a third party's login for access, you may provide the URL for that link. If the source only exists online, give the link even if access is restricted (see WP:PAYWALL)." Ie, it suggests that if a potential courtesy link is paywalled, you should not use it.
Take care.

@Gog the Mild: Thanks Gog. 'pong' was just a typo. Actually, I don't know how to use that 'pong'. Ha Ha Ha. (I requested this article for copy editing on GOCE). --Gazal world (talk) 08:35, 27 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Gazal world: . Copy edit completed. As usual feel free to revert or query anything. Could you check it through for me, to ensure that I have not distorted the sense of any of your sources. Thanks. Gog the Mild (talk) 19:48, 27 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Gog. You have done it nicely. Thank you very much. --Gazal world (talk) 08:19, 28 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
