This makes no sense[edit]

The article states

"The album contains re-workings and thematic reprises of some of the music from their previous album EveryDay" (2002)

and

"The Cinematic Orchestra were commissioned to record the score to play as the opening event in Porto, Portugal's year as European Capital of Culture in 2001.

The first live performance took place in the Coliseu do Porto theatre in May 2000 and was met with a standing ovation from the audience of more than 3,500 people. The tracks from the album have since been performed at film festivals all over the world. In November 2002, the band, along with a string section and percussionist Milo Fell, recorded the album over a 2 day period in the soundtrack studio in Whitfield Street in London."

How is a score that was written & performed in 2000 , but not put on cd until 2003 have music from an album in 2002 ?

Unless they invented a time machine, it would be better stated that EveryDay contains recordings of these songs as well. Every Day was written/released after this score - its a 'to cd' issue, not a 'performed' one. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.131.209.2 (talk) 22:51, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I strongly suspect the material for Every Day was around for a long time before it too was recorded in a studio and committed to disc - I agree that Every Day was released after the MWaMC score was performed, but not necessarily that Every Day was "written" after MWaMC.

Assuming the material for both albums was being performed live for a couple of years prior to either disc's release, then I agree with your proposed change to say that alternate versions of the tracks also appeared on the Every Day album. I'd just be careful about saying which came first. Gram123 (talk) 10:23, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merge?[edit]

Merge. Totally agree, so I've gone ahead and lifted most of the additional info from Man With The Movie Camera (album) into this one (lower case "with the"), and expanded on it a little. If the merge is agreed, all that remains is to (possibly) copy the See Also and External Links section to here and turn Man With The Movie Camera (album) into a redirect. Have transferred the remaining information and put in a redirect. I created the duplicate page, i'll try to be more careful in future DJIndica 00:26, 30 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
