Title[edit]

I find it hard to believe that Mamma Mia! The Movie Soundtrack Featuring the Songs of ABBA is the proper title of this album. Can anyone obtain a reliable source for this title being official? Thanks. --Lakeyboy (talk) 06:27, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, it should be Mamma Mia! The Movie Soundtrack. TheLeftorium 16:31, 9 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
To W/E 6th December 2008, the Soundtrack CD had sold 813,887

copies in the UK. And it is going to sell a lot more, as it is still as high as No.2 in the UK Compilation Chart.

4 Times Platinum In The UK[edit]

The 'Mamma Mia!' Film Soundtrack is no longer 3 times Platinum in the UK. On July 22nd 2013 The British Phonographic Industry, (The BPI), up-dated a great many of ABBA's UK Sales Awards. They also awarded 'Mamma Mia!' a 4th Platinum Award. Although this represents 1,200,000 UK Sales, (4 x 300,000), the Soundtrack has actually sold around 1,400,000 in the UK. It will get a 5th Platinum Award if & when it reaches 1,500,000 UK Sales. 82.6.134.233 (talk) 06:17, 27 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

UK Chart Position[edit]

It did NOT peak at #5 in 2008 as you say in the Chart Box. As you rightly point out in your text it was ineligible under chart rules in 2008 but was allowed in 2018 - when it peaked at #5. Coachtripfan (talk) 12:43, 18 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
