Misconception of Malaya Cup name changes in 1933[edit]

Malaysia cup started in 1921 where the trophy was gifted from the British Royal Navy ship H.M.S Malaya where the trophy is known as H.M.S Malaya Cup. The competition was known as Malaya Cup or Piala Malaya in Malay during that time.

A new trophy known as Malaysia Cup was only introduced to replace the old one in 1967 when the competition was also renamed as Malaysia Cup to commemorate the formation of Malaysia.

The competition was not renamed in 1933 for the Malaysian football competition as the one that got renamed was for the rugby union as they also was gifted the same trophy during the 1921 event. JebatMalaya (talk) 23:41, 22 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Singapore[edit]

I've added Singapore again. Readers might ask "what happened to Singapore" after reading this. A good article would be able to answer that. __earth (Talk) 12:36, 6 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually Singapore had its own internal league and cup competitions long before it pulled out of the Malaysian league and cup. The launch of the S.League in 2006 was, in reality, just a slight revamping of the existing structures, accompanied by a lot of fanfare. Singopo 04:18, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:SelangorFA.gif[edit]

Image:SelangorFA.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
