I'm from USA and when I went to Azerbaijan for holiday this structure truely was amazing, the view from the top was overwelming!

Maiden Tower (Baku) → Qal'eh Dokhtar, Baku – This building is a castle and the article in Farsi Wikipedia confirm it [1] And it has Sassanid architecture that has similar names in other places such as Qal'eh Dokhtar Or Qal'eh Dokhtar, Saveh. POS78 (talk) 10:13, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Leaning to oppose per Grove Encyclopedia of Islamic Art & Architecture 2009 p237 "The oldest surviving buildings in Azerbaijan date from the 5th–6th century ce , including the basilica at Kum, the three-tiered church at Lekit, and the foundations of the Maiden's Tower, the core structure in the center of Baku." Alternate name[edit]

@POS78: The towers you've mentioned here are all actually called that. While Maiden Tower is not and has not been called "Qal'eh Dokhtar" in its modern history. We could put that name in lead (and bold as you've tried) only if it was a significant alternate name (e.g. over 10% of sources use it, per WP:NCGN). However barely 1% of sources use that name, therefore it's not a significant alternate name:
