Very short articles lacking sufficient context to identify the subject of the article. Example: "He is a funny man with a red car. He makes people laugh."

That's the criterion you tagged the article with. It's wrong because the subject is clearly identified. A "no explanation of what [it] is used for" reasoning is suited for an AFD type discussion. Since you make a lot of this type of edit, it is important for you to get it right. Yes, 'getting an estimate' is an obvious purpose, and I am a mathematician. Another is to find out what someone means when he is saying 'using Foo's inequality we immediately get...'. First, this is important and ought to be documented when the article was created. Second, a few clicks in google destroyed my trust in this being correct (but I cannot say). Third, the article contains reference to http://eom.springer.de/M/m064060.htm, where the name Mahler is in item b) assigned to a different statement, while the inequality itself is in a). - JK 90.180.192.165 (talk) 23:46, 5 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
