Nationality etc

There was a recent change to add that Moghadam is of Iranian descent. The source provided ([1]) says he is Iranian. My first issue is with the source, which on their "People" (i.e. "About") page has huge sections of Lorem ipsum nonsense; are they reliable? The second issue (assuming Mucker is reliable) is the difference in wording; in my mind there is a pretty big difference between "Iranian" and "an American of Iranian descent"; the first implies he was born in Iran, the second implies someone in his past was born there. Of course, We're mainly assuming he's American based on the companies he's founded, so I guess we should either get a good source for either piece of information, or remove it all. yeah he's american 2603:8001:6900:26:313B:BCB7:F151:37AC (talk) 22:05, 4 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Heads up that you're replying to a comment from 2020. This has since then been sufficiently established with the Yale Review piece, and the edit war is long over. GorillaWarfare (she/her • talk) 22:08, 4 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Gorillawarfare takes out all positive details and adds negative details

She has a conflict of interest and should not be editing this page. She has strong negative feelings towards the subject 2603:8001:6900:26:313B:BCB7:F151:37AC (talk) 21:29, 4 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

What is my conflict of interest exactly? It seems to me that you have a conflict of interest, as your only edits to this page (under several IPs, going back years) have been to add puffery and minute details about the subject. Are you Moghadam? GorillaWarfare (she/her • talk) 21:36, 4 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You two had a huge fight online he told me all about it. you do this to lots of pages. please STOP. we need another editor in charge of this not someone who has an open conflict with the subject. 2603:8001:6900:26:313B:BCB7:F151:37AC (talk) 21:38, 4 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Some details

Moghadam started an internet controversy by writing an article in Thought Catalog titled "How To Steal From Whole Foods". - Maybe, some explanation about the controversy is needed? It is not obvious to me. TrangaBellam (talk) 21:57, 4 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I tried to add it but GorillaWarfare deleted it. She's deleting everything I add except for negative details because she doesn't like Moghadam. She should not be editing the page. 2603:8001:6900:26:313B:BCB7:F151:37AC (talk) 21:58, 4 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Tbh, to me, the only one who "should not be editing this page" appears to be you. TrangaBellam (talk) 22:00, 4 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
why is that? ps I just added again the explanation of the controversy. thanks 2603:8001:6900:26:313B:BCB7:F151:37AC (talk) 22:01, 4 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not convinced it should be included at all (see my prev summary), but the controversy seems to be because Moghadam seemed to be providing advice on how to shoplift from the store, and some venture capitalists got mad? It must have been a slow day on Twitter. The only sources that seem to go into any real detail about the "controversy" are pretty low quality: Gawker, a defunct publication called Racked, etc. GorillaWarfare (she/her • talk) 22:12, 4 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Moghadam's struggles as a fetus

Why does this keep getting removed? it is written in multiple paper publications about his life: cf. https://www.fastcompany.com/3021564/how-a-brain-tumor-made-the-cofounder-of-rap-genius-rethink-business

https://www.theguardian.com/music/2013/nov/15/rapgenius-founder-brain-tumour-zuckerberg-buffett 2603:8001:6900:26:313B:BCB7:F151:37AC (talk) 22:06, 4 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

"Moghadam's struggles as a fetus" - Are you fucking serious? TrangaBellam (talk) 22:09, 4 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
having struggles in utero can cause major disabilities in life there is an extremely high correleation. Also, it's notable enough for 2 paper news publications to write about it. 2603:8001:6900:26:313B:BCB7:F151:37AC (talk) 22:14, 4 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict) The Guardian article mentions nothing about a miscarried twin, fwiw. The only near-mention of "struggles as a fetus" seems to be a reference to a "fetal benign tumor" — that is, the brain tumor that is already described in this article.
That a doctor advised he aborted due to possible mental disability, and then he wasn't, seems a pretty far cry from encyclopedic, and if anything seems to be trying to improperly cast doubt on Moghadam's mental status. GorillaWarfare (she/her • talk) 22:15, 4 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
