  • She was married, but she chose to live as a bachelor. Bachelor refers to males. Reference 6 says she chose to live an ascetic life, it is better to say this. Reference 7 is a dead link. It does not go to Taptilok.

  • Consider variant spellings, Varma, Verma. The article is titled (Varma) and many subsequent references and notations speak to Verma. Others speak to Varma. Google Doodle calls her 'Varma'. We need to discuss this.
Both are acceptable. But I have now made it 'Varma' everywhere (except for reference links and their headings) for consistency as well known sources that are WP:RS like JSTOR, Sahitya Akademi[1] and Britannica[2] uses 'Varma' and the Wikipedia article was originally named Mahadevi Varma. — Amkgp 💬 17:28, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Reference 16 does not go to Mere Bachpan Ke Din (My Childhood Days).
Fixed the title for the quotation i.e. its Smrti Chitra. But, in reference 16[1] it is reported ...In her biography "Mere Bachpan Ke Din" (My Childhood Days), Mahadevi Varma wrote that at a time when a girl child was considered a burden upon the family, she was very fortunate to be born into a liberal family. — Amkgp 💬 17:39, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Reference 6 - and web searches do not confirm that Varma was chancellor of Prayag Mahila Vidyapeeth. There is clear evidence that Varma was the Principal. Please supply resource to validate the statement that Varma was also the Chancellor.
It was really a tough one as most well known newspapers and magazines copied the fact from Wikipedia who are generally WP:RELIABLE. I dropped 'Chancellor'.   • Please consider this statement: While Jaishankar Prasad gave naturalization to the Chhayavadi poetry, Suryakant Tripathi Nirala embodied the liberation in it and Sumitranandan Pant brought the art of delicateness, but Verma had the distinction of doing it in the background of cinematography. Cinematography does not make sense here. Please explain this context.
It was due to incorrect semi-translation by Google. I re-read and translated by myself. Actually, Varma embodied life to the Chhayavadi poetry as per hi:महादेवी_वर्मा#महादेवी_वर्मा_का_योगदान from ...प्राण-प्रतिष्ठा करने का गौरव महादेवी जी को ही प्राप्त है.   • This lady has received Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibushan, and is one of the 50 illustrious women of India in modern times. This article does not give this sense. Fair to say that references are in Hindi, and this Shadowism - Chhayavaad had its moment as a form of romanticism in Hindi Poetry. My sense is that more has to be brought to this page, to illustrate the high points of her writing and her influence. What foundation or pathway did Varma lay for women to follow? Gandhi told he did not understand Kavi nor poetry, what through-going influence did he have?
@Whiteguru: She was influenced by Gandhi's call towards freedom struggle and she participated in it. Plus, Gandhi claimed he had no understanding of poetry and refused to attend the kavi sammelan (poet conference), but Verma never forgave him and wrote about the incident years later.[1] is the only verified information available.
I have added a paragraph in Women's advocacy about state of women which is greatly reflected in her works. Apart from that I searched thoroughly, but did not find anything new. Everybody have copied from Wikipedia. It was really surprising.

I also find a commentary that I have mentioned above.
