Lacking in scientific and practical content[edit]

A few things that would be useful to have in this article:

  • What's the chemistry of the color-changing?
  • Are such mugs generally safe for the microwave? Safe for automatic dishwashers? How do each of those affect the lifetime of the "magic" glaze?
