Fair use rationale for Image:Magdagabor.jpg[edit]

Image:Magdagabor.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Gabors Year of Birth[edit]

Please do not add Magda's year of birth yet. I understand it may be frustrating but there is a lack of consensus on what her real year of birth was since she and her sisters and mother were, to put it delicately, less than forthcoming, about their age. I am hoping some evidence from Budapest vital records will eventually be located. Thanks, Rms125a@hotmail.com (talk) 00:25, 14 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the inclusion of the 1914 date as none of the sources provide meet Wikipedia's reliable sources policy. There are many sources that do meet said policy that state she was 78 at the time of her death (a very small selection of examples include The Los Ageles Times, The Chicago Tribune and The Washington Post). The article specifically does not list a single birthdate as fact in order compensate for the various discrepancies in the reporting of her age. If one date is going to be given in the article, consensus needs to be reached prior to doing so. User:TFBCT1 was bold in adding the contentious date, it has been reverted, and now, per the BRD cycle, community discussion will determine which information should be presented. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 16:14, 24 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have added 1915, since this is the date on a 1946 passenger manifest accessed on ancestry.com on 30 December 2011Kitchawan (talk) 04:15, 31 December 2011 (UTC) 1915 is also the birth year given in Hungary: Jewish Names from the Central Zionist Archives, an online resource.Kitchawan (talk) 04:18, 31 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Marriage to Jan Bychowsky[edit]

He died in 1944, and they divorced in 1946. Obviously incorrect. The reference to the 1946 date (#12) says, "Gabor gave... her marital status as divorced on a February 11, 1946 airline passenger manifest..." - i.e., a date on which she noted she was divorced, not the date of the divorce. Marriages Number 3 and 6 are also dated differently in the 'spouse' column from how they are dated in the text. And why was the marriage to George Sanders annulled? Valetude (talk) 20:10, 5 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Other relationships[edit]

It' impossible for her to have a relationship with Mustada Kemal Atatürk. He died in 1938 when she was 21 years old. She didn't come to Turkey, neither did Aratürk go to the USA. However she had a relationship with the Turkish actor Muzaffer Tema. 212.253.204.216 (talk) 11:14, 30 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
