Critisism

That whole part seems to be completely biased and only refects on their N64 controller. Wikipedia is not a place to vent your frustrations. Plus, the article cited doesn't say anything about the company loosing money due to shoddy products. Infact, the guys from Reviews on the Run/Electric Playground are very (sorry but I can't cite this) pro-Mad Catz. Personally, I am too. But anyway, I'm erasing it, and anybody who thinks that they can cite sources on that and expand on true critisims, by all means, go for it. ^---SilentRAGE! 09:51, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

Does anyone else think the comment "the cheapest products and break easily" is just someone who got a bit wound up when they broke their Mad Catz controller? Either way, it's innapropriate and poorly worded, so I am deleting it.

I've had pretty shoddy luck with a few of their products personally.

• The N64 controller - analogue stick wore out very quickly, some buttons were a bit loose
• a multi-system RF adaptor - contact pins were misaligned out of the box, very difficult to get a color signal
• PlayStation 2 memory cards - I/O speed decreased gradually until finally the card became intermittently write-only or even completely inaccessible within a couple of months

There are more, but I can't think of them right now. I have steared away from Mad Catz products also seeing that most of them are hit-or-miss in functionality. While I encourage people to write reviews and even post opinions on Wikipedia, I still expect Wikipedia's neutrality standards to be upheld if anyone is going to take articles seriously(as depending on them for unbiased facts).

I'm not here to say we should run rampant with our problems, I'm just here to agree with the others that citations are necessary and to add in my two cents that while some of this company's products work, some of them don't; I happen to be getting the ones that don't work.

Article is poorly written and biased

This article is very biased and badly worded. I suspect that this comes from editing of this article by MadCatz employees and immature persons angered at them. I strongly suggest reverting to the April 25 18:15 revision and adding back in a little from the newest revision. --Pjvandehaar (talk) 20:28, 6 June 2010 (UTC)

Changes to company

mad catz has now changed their logo and produces (or has a hand in through their pherical production) a few games

for example ....damage inc squadrons of WW2(of witch their is no page for just yet) was bundled with the mad catz joystick for a time .....the game itself though is nothing more than a ps3 update of heroes of the pacific (the missions are exactly the same with poorer story acting and a few changes ..but the overall game is ok .....but this isnt a review so i wont go into further detail) and was probly produced simply for this purpose

major re-write of article

I've rewritten the Mad Catz article, primarily in writing a more fleshed-out company history. I am an employee of Mad Catz (though I do not work in marketing nor public relations), and welcome your criticisms and thoughts in improving the article.
