the article refers to macumba as a "religion"--implying something less than a religion. this is reinforced by the term cult which is used as well.

I think this article is very simplistic and badly researched. I also think that its assertion that "macumba" is simply a pejorative term is exaggerated. In fact, this notion is mainly a New Age assertion more than it is a Brazilian one. Most Brazilians are not going to use hairsplittingly correct terminology to describe every distinct form of cult practice in the country. Rather, they are going to continue to use the generic term, which they do not see as pejorative at all.

Daily Life and practices[edit]

To expand on this article more information is needed on the daily lives and practices/rituals that the followers of Macumba believe in, and practice during their day to day affairs. This can be done by describing the beliefs found in Macumba more in depth as well as gathering more information on the people who practice the religion. By doing this the Macumba page will have a wider array of information to offer and be much more beneficial for anyone seeking information on Afro-Brazilian religions. I would focus on expanding on the info you proposed adding. Insert what information you intend on adding to the article exactly as it will look in the article. Find a source that will have information on the topics of which you suggested adding information, then do research and add anything you see fit for the Wikipedia article. Peer Review of Fish008's Plans[edit]

I think this is a good start, but you'd need to look more into the two practices mentioned in the introduction, and see if there are differences between those two practices. Another good thing to add would be a section on the origin maybe. There's really a lot you could add to this because there isn't much on the page, but daily practices would be a good start.
