Address[edit]

What are we going to do about the address?? There are MANY places in "Macquarie Park" that advertise as being in North Ryde. Macq Park used to be part of North Ryde, and as Macq Park isn't very widely recognised most businesses go with North Ryde. For example Officeworks, Domayne, Gospel Pianos and Macqaurie Centre. There are hundreds of others. I see no problem with Wikipedia saying that Macq Centre is in North Ryde when Macq Centre itself advertises its address as North Ryde: http://www.macquariecentre.com.au/ This must be the ultimate in splitting hairs, and for no real benefit at all. I'm not sure, I can see both points of view. The way I understand it, these places advertise themselves as being in North Ryde for historical reasons, and because customers wouldn't know where "Macquarie Park" was. However, I don't think it's a good idea to make a statement that we suspect might be technically false (i.e. "mac centre is in north ryde") just because the subject of the article makes that claim; why introduce inaccuracy? I would be happy with simply removing the claim entirely - or these examples: "located in Sydney's North", "located in the Ryde area", "located in Macquarie Park (formerly part of North Ryde)". But I don't think "located in North Ryde" is accurate. -Maebmij 02:32, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Size[edit]
