Move discussion in progress[edit]

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:MVP (Mister V album) which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 00:33, 24 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 1 July 2023[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: Moved. There is consensus to move for now based on the lack of a clear primary topic, albeit with some uncertainty that could give reason for reconsideration relatively soon. (non-admin closure) {{replyto|SilverLocust}} (talk) 07:04, 8 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

MVP (disambiguation)MVP – No primary topic for this three-letter acronym, between Most valuable player (the current redirect target), Minimum viable product, and others. See page views: [1] (comparing a few topics: Most valuable player, Minimum viable product, Montel Vontavious Porter, Mitral valve prolapse, Model–view–presenter) or [2] (massviews). • Support Google search brought up equivalent results for minimum viable product and most valuable player. I believe those two are equivalent primary topics and should be mentioned at the top of the DAB page. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 07:40, 1 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • https://wikinav.toolforge.org/?language=en&title=Most_valuable_player doesn't show a lot of clicks on the hatnote, but with only 189 it's already #2 most commonly clicked link there (May '23), so it makes sense to try disambiguating, and later see if navigation outcomes have improved. --Joy (talk) 14:59, 1 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. No primary topic here. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:31, 4 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak oppose. I don't have a lot of data to back up this claim, but I don't think minimum viable product is really as common a term as most valuable player. DuckDuckGo almost solely focused on the sports coverage (archive) rather than the marketing term. That's all I got though since I don't know how else I could make the case for sportsball here. –MJLTalk 18:28, 7 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
