I am reverting the bullet on frameline video notation; please do not add it back without explanation. It appears very non-notable from Google searches, and isn't even released yet (still in beta)? As such this external link would be considered advertising/spam. I haven't looked in detail into the others so feel free to remove other links or even the entire section. Removing a link to the ONLY commercially available MPEG-7 software from the MPEG-7 page makes no sense to me. Frameline is currently in Public Beta yes, but is available to pre-order - so it is for sale. All the other tools listed here are also valid, but are little more than esoteric test apps & tools. Frameline 47 is the first of a kind and a very important application for the MPEG community.

Please read this feedback;

Great product! We're very excited about what you folks have done and have been waiting for this a long time. I teach our streaming course and evangalize the MPEG-4 format due to its amazing potential. Discussing MPEG-7 with someone usually flies over their heads - but wow - we're finally there! I would be interested in working with your company to see what we can do at Utah Valley State in the Digital Media Department.

Please provide a published reference about Frameline to show that is a notable software, and a reference for it being the first commercial software for MPEG-7. See also: WP:SPAM. Quarl (talk) 2006-02-08 21:34Z

Descriptors and Description Schemes[edit]

The links for Descriptor and Description scheme are not correct: A Description Scheme is - although based on XML - written in DDL. A Descriptor in MPEG-7 has no connection to the article linked to the word Descriptor. 143.205.122.226 08:29, 19 October 2007 (UTC) motte[reply]

Missing an example[edit]

After reading this article, I'm still in the dark about what kind of metadata this is aimed for. I can't tell whether bibliographic data such as a movie title, year of production or cast of characters would be appropriate for this metadata, or, if so, how they would be represented. Knowing that this standard is kind of a langauge for talking about the language for describing videos - still, an example would go a long way towards making this article concrete. --Alvestrand (talk) 08:44, 30 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 3 external links on MPEG-7. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
