Over promotion[edit]

I believe the companies promoting their products in the references should be removed as they do no add information about MIPI. They might be referenced from more detailed pages for a specific technology if the number of vendors is relatively small (analogy: you don't want all car manufacturers to insist on being referenced on the Wikipedia Automobile page). I deleted the above (almost one year after I made the above remark). VdHamer (talk) 07:09, 7 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
To my knowledge the Software WG no longer exists, but it is still on the MIPI website. VdHamer (talk) 07:21, 7 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Criticism section?[edit]

There have been complaints in the open-source hardware community about the restrictive nature of the membership requirements, see https://medium.com/@meawoppl/closed-source-specs-mipi-madness-f7922ae26d26.

MIPI acronym[edit]

What do the letters MIPI stand for? --71.178.90.133 (talk) 16:28, 27 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request[edit]

Change 250 member companies to 300 member companies

Change 12 working groups to 15 working groups

Change MIPI (for Mobile Industry Processor Interface) to MIPI Alliance (which no longer is an acronym for Mobile Industry Processor Interface) (source: https://mipi.org/resources/frequently-asked-questions)

Done for the first two requests, but I don't understand what the third request is getting at. Best, Altamel (talk) 03:13, 14 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
