IMO, Trofim Lysenko is the Lysenko, and this page should be at Lysenko (disambiguation), but perhaps I'm being parochial. Opinions?--Prosfilaes (talk) 00:27, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

LysenkoLysenko (disambiguation) – Or move to Lysenko (surname) if that is preferable. Trofim Lysenko is the primary topic for the plain surname "Lysenko" amongst English speakers, being notorious for so-called "Lysenkoism", and the title without disambguation ought to point there. 50.248.234.77 (talk) 21:57, 29 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Pageview analysis shows that he is usually 10 times as popular as the next entry, Mykola Lysenko. [1][2] I do agree that Trofim is the primary topic in the English speaking world. – Thjarkur (talk) 23:07, 30 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • support move to Lysenko (surname) . Trofim is definitely a primary topic - Altenmann >talk 04:36, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support the move to (surname) as it's a very common surname in Ukraine/Russia and people with it can add over time.--Less Unless (talk) 10:59, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • The fact that it's a popular surname would seem to be an argument against moving the page, not for moving the page. Right now the page is already about the surname, but if it is moved "Lysenko" won't be about the common surname anymore. Dekimasuよ! 03:13, 7 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. He's just not well-known enough to be primary topic. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:04, 4 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. Not usually referred to as just "Lysenko", and "Lysenko" on its own is used so rarely in any form (the disambiguation page gets about 200-250 page views a month) that it seems unlikely that a primary topic has been established. This is just a partial title match. Dekimasuよ! 03:11, 7 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
