Land released 1960?[edit]

Lugarno was green-belt residential until 1966 or 67. Many houses along Forest Rd were built after ww2 and provided to returned service men using low interest loans. Most blocks along Forest Rd were 5ac; double width and ran from the top of the ridge to the bottoms of the gullies. The Hurstville Council changed the zoning to residential about mid-67. For a year or two before then, councillors (many seemed to be real eastate agents) were wise to the future re-zoning, and harangued many residents to sell their land to them cheaply.220.240.228.205 (talk) 05:55, 26 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
