You left the following comment within the article code which I've now removed as it's easier to discuss here - "the preceding link is not verified and a less encumbered format would be nice". The link is from the BBC Radio 4 archive. It was verified on the date mentioned. What do you mean by a less encumbered format ?

As regards you request for citations, as with many biographies of people who are now out of the public eye, there are few, if any, references of WP approved authority. John 19:59, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My comment was directed at the fact that it's a link to a RealAudio metafile. Wikipedia policy is to link to "container pages" for audio and visual media preferentially to the media itself. If the BBC has a page that "fronts" for this particular RealAudio metafile, that would be preferred to a direct link to the metafile. If you are aware of such a page, please change the link appropriately. Chromaticity 20:17, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I can only presume that I didn't link to the container page because it's a running order list - [1]. Personally I think that it's being more helpful to people to provide the direct link with a warning about it being RealAudio format John 22:56, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, and to the link being "verified": what I did was verify that there is a RealAudio stream at that address. I did not download the content or listen to it as I do not have any player installed on my computer capable of doing so. For all I know, the content consists of two hours of recorded cow flatulence; therefore, the link is technically not verified except to the extent that some content exists at that address. Since you are not in the position to be able to verify a clip, labeling it unverified isn't helpful. I verified the clip on the date of access. John 22:56, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
