Sarah Jessica Parker co-stars as Gloria Steinem![edit]

On the Wiki page about Linda Lovelace it says Sarah Jessica Parker co-stars in this film as a character called Gloria Steinem. This Wiki entry on the film makes no mention of that nor this "Gloria" character. According to the link on the "Lovelace" Wiki Demi Moore was supposed to be the co-star to Amanda Seyfried (an executive producer of the film).

There are some very confusing quotes i.e. Seyfried added of Parker, "She is a bada-- in this role." - This must mean filming had begun with SJP or Seyfried could not have said that. Then it says ' Amanda Seyfried said she was the one who convinced her "Lovelace" co-star Sarah Jessica Parker to appear in the film. The 46-year-old "Sex and the City" actress will play feminist Gloria Steinem in "Lovelace," after replacing Demi Moore for the role. "[Moore] was ill so she couldn't show up," explained Seyfried speaking to U.K. talk show host Jonathan Ross. "When we found out she wasn't coming to work, we were just like, 's---!' But the fact is, she couldn't come so we had to find somebody else and so I emailed Sarah Jessica Parker myself." On replacing Moore in the role of Gloria Steinem, SJP said, "It was difficult because, obviously, the circumstances are not ideal," according to Access Hollywood. This needs to be cleared up. And if it transpires that SJP was sacked from the roll or the part of Gloria (who was supposed to be a major character as SJP was supposed to "co-star" was written out there needs to be an explanation. Was the script re-written? Did SJP walk out when she found out the film was portraying Lovelace in an innocent kind of way even when it is proven she was in beastality films (which this film makes no mention of).

Either way the main article about this film should include some of this background as people coming here from other sources don't understand what happened to Sarah Jessica Parker or the character of Gloria Steinem. You "know" SJP is in the film, you go to see the film, you don't recognise her and you wonder if you just missed her so you come to the Wiki but become "non-the-wiser". Surely this is the place to clear up such mysteries? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.217.246.25 (talk) 06:30, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I see now it says that Sarah Jessica Parker had a cameo scene that was deleted. However this does not explain the "co-star" billing above. If someone is supposed to be a co-star that does not include a single "cameo" scene. And if it was only a cameo scene which takes 15 minutes to film then there would have been no need for Moore to drop out. And the link on the Lovelace Wiki entry still informs people that SJP was a co-star. The mystery continues. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.217.246.25 (talk) 06:35, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
