Name[edit]

In interview broadcast the 29th, Carbon/Silicon told Terry Gross that the name of the band was "a youthful excess" that they are "ashamed of". They seem to imply that they tried to cover up the SS association by talking abt "Social Security".

Mick Jones is Jewish so I find it hard to believe (and generally inconsistent with most Clash lyrics) but what do I know. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bruceberry (talkcontribs) 19:37, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He is not Jewish, he is of Jewish descent since his mother is Jewish. Not him. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.206.34.198 (talk) 00:48, 28 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

1-2 Crush On You[edit]

The article suggests there is a recording on London SS playing this song. News to me, but I hope it's true. Does anyone know of a reference? Thanks Pollythewasp (talk) 11:14, 14 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
