July 2010: the page still quotes its own press releases to give credability to its case. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Veganline (talkcontribs) 18:37, 3 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Is this true? I thought London Fashion Week was here to get good publicity for the Mayors of London at the expense of the European Regional Development Fund which all of us pay for. It's supposed to create a few jobs but the last report of British Fashion Council to London Development Agency - sources in the footnotes to http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2010/01/445470.html - didn't even bother to talk about jobs created and preferred to list publicity caused, as measured by a firm hired by the people who got the grant to run London Fashion Week.

This item is badly out of date[edit]

Currently the "history" sections claims: "The current venue for most of the "on-schedule" events is Somerset House in central London, where a large marquee in the central courtyard hosts a series of catwalk shows by top designers and fashion houses,[9] while an exhibition, housed within Somerset House itself, shows over 150 designers."

All of this changed in autumn 2015, when the event moved completely from Somerset House into Soho where five main venues were within walking distance of each other. The current LFW website long ago reported here http://www.londonfashionweek.co.uk/Designer-Showrooms/About - "Over 150 womenswear designers will showcase SS16 collections at the Designer Showrooms in the new London Fashion Week venue at Brewer Street Car Park from 18-22 September 2015."

Another page said: " This new central London location in the West End, provides an epicentre for a city-wide fashion celebration with close proximity to major retail spaces."

No alternative venue is suggested for 2016. The site also specifies LFW dates over the next two years starting with London Fashion Week AW16 on 19th - 23rd February 2016. 217.155.200.241 (talk) 00:15, 11 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
