NPOV[edit]

The NPOV of this article is disputed by me, as it reads more like an advertisement than an encyclopedia. The sentence:

Based in the heart of North London at Finsbury Park Stadium, the Blitz have links with over 150 American Football players and enthusiasts in the area, and are the natural first point of contact for people interested in the sport in London and the Home Counties. The team's reach is not confined to the UK, attracting players from across the world. In 2005 the Blitz fielded players from the US and Canada as well as Jamaica, South Africa and Uganda.

Sounds as if, it was written by someone involved in the club (ie. In the coaching staff, one of the players). Pafcool2 15:57, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's actually copied form their website.[1] I've pared the article down to read in a more encyclopedic style, and removed the NPOV tag. NotAnExpert 13:46, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Controversial?[edit]

Has their name ever been considered Controversial? 24.60.233.137 (talk) 04:57, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is what I came in to ask. Seems that some would consider it in pretty poor taste. - Teflon Dog "It doesn't stick." (talk) 21:07, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You would think so, it's akin to having a team called the New York 9 Eleveners — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.192.103.31 (talk) 10:03, 17 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox[edit]

There is a standard inbox for BAFL teams - {{Infobox BAFL team}} - that should be used in this article rather than the existing table code. – ukexpat (talk) 14:12, 21 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
