Theme music[edit]

Is the theme music for this game based off of Bach's Two Part Invention No. 8 (BWV 779)? It sounds very similar. ~MDD4696 20:10, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nope. The only music of consequence I hear in the arcade version (at 0:24 here: [youtube.com/watch?v=6augh-JcZ98] ) is a four-bar phrase only superficially resembling the opening of the Bach invention. Most noticeably the game music begins on beat 1, whereas the Bach begins with a pickup note preceding the first bar, giving it different phrasing, too.
(BTW, if anyone wonders why I have nothing better to do than to respond to 16-year-old inquiries about video game music: I do have a life, really! See—I have this t-shirt that says "I Edit Wikipedia ". 😄 ) – AndyFielding (talk) 06:05, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

claimed world record[edit]

An IP twice inserted text to argue against the mention of an individual making a new world record.[1][2] Their edit was at problematic (bordering on disruptive), as it placed discussion within the article itself. However, their main issue appears accurate. There were no references to support the claimed record, making verifiability difficult.

A quick Google search turned up several references to the record; but I couldn't spot an official recording of it (maybe I'm just not formatting the search adequately?) I'm not opposed to restoring the mention once a reference can be found - with the number of trivial mentions, I'm guessing an official ranking exists somewhere ... I just haven't been able to locate it as yet. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 22:20, 17 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, tricky isn't it? Personally, I won't post videogame records unless they've been verified by space aliens. – AndyFielding (talk) 06:07, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Blue Sky Rangers[edit]

I attended a festival in California where I met some of the Blue Sky Rangers, including the guys that worked on Lock N Chase. I have photos of them I could add, if anyone would think that would add value to the article. They had some great stories to tell as well, but that is likely outside of the scope of the article.
