Open v. not closed[edit]

The condition that a set is not compact is not equivalent to the condition that a set is either unbounded and open; rather it should be equivalent to the condition that the set is either unbounded or not closed, at least in R^n. 128.59.156.70 (talk) 19:55, 5 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Continuity[edit]

The existence of a bliss point on a compact consumption set is only implied when the preference relation is assumed to be determined by a continuous utility function. This assumption is not discussed in the present stub. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.16.204.219 (talk) 20:12, 13 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
