If the school in is Llanwern, shouldn't it be part of that article? It seems a small article to exist on its own. Martinevans123 (talk) 17:32, 23 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately I don't know the catchment area for this school (it's on the edge of urban Newport) so don't whether it's appropriate to mention it at length in the Llanwern article. If you don't think there should be an article on this high school then by all means nominate it for deletion, though I can't imagine that will have much success. It replaces Hartridge High School, so I think the catchment area is predominantly Ringland. The village of Llanwern is tiny by comparison. In fact, when Hartridge was there, children from Llanwern village, which was considered to be in the rural catchment area outside Newport, went to Caerleon. I'm sure it's notable enough to have its own article. But maybe there should be a "Education" section at the Llanwern article, instead of just that entry in "See also"? You sound like you have more local knowledge than me. Perhaps the article should begin "Llanwern High School is a secondary school in Ringland...". I get the impression they named it after a little village as part of their 'rebranding', in preference to an urban housing estate ;) In which case the school isn't even worth a 'See also' in the Llanwern article. Yes, I'm pretty sure it's not in Llanwern. It's just nearby on Spytty Road, haha. Martinevans123 (talk) 19:36, 23 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
