Big deal or not?[edit]

This article is rubbish. THe media have not exaggerated the threat from this virus. On the contrary, they have understated it. This virus has completely trashed tens of thousands of websites AND many thousands of computers. If that's "no big deal" to you guys, I can assure you it's a big deal to the people who were affected (and I am one of them). Also, it is NOT true that the user has to download this malware him/herself. The malicious javascript is inserted onto websites via a worm that infects FTP clients and steals login details to websites. When people visit these entirely innocent websites, the virus is loaded onto their computer. They don't have to click or download anything, contrary to the information given here (and on other "techy" websites). The public awareness of this issue, or its notability, seems to be increasing rather rapidly, in 15 min. or so between two different Google searches for the topic the number of hits rose from 649,000 to 701, 000.

Yes it is long, to ensure it targeted only hits on this particular phenomena.

Perhaps instead of being deleted this article should be incorporated into whatever Wikipedia has on notable malware attacks. Presumably that article would start with the Morris worm and I'm sure that we have something like it on Wikipedia already. Perhaps someone who is more conversant with the topic can make a suggestion about which article it should be incorporated into.
