Live at Earls Court is a must for all Moz fans, I feel. He sounds great and I in the little he says between songs so much can be heard. MozbeeVgn!

Recorded at multiple dates?[edit]

Depite the assertion on the liner notes that this album was "Recorded live at Earls Court in London on the 18th of December 2004 in front of 17,183 people" - there is some suggestion that some tracks from the album were taken from other dates on the tour. Can anyone categorically confirm or deny this?

  • I had heard it was recorded across a couple nights too. I think I read that at Passions Just Like Mine, which has currently exceeded its bandwidth, so I can't confirm it. Folkor 17:09, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The relevant paragraph is: "As the title suggests, this album was recorded at London's Earls Court on 18 December 2004. However, although it features mainly this date, when Morrissey's vocals were not the best the recording was patched with segments from other British dates from the same leg of the tour (Glasgow, Birmingham, Brighton and Dublin). Similarly, the chit-chat with fans in the front rows, a few biting comments and the allusions to the upcoming Christmas holiday were dropped or replaced with banter from those other dates." - "Live At Earls Court" from PassionsJustLikeMine
Although there's no reason to doubt the truth of this suggestion, this isn't really enough to qualify as a reliable reference. Presumably it's been deduced from unofficial audience recordings. --David Edgar (talk) 23:13, 25 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
