Debut single[edit]

His debut single was in 1953 on the Pride label co-owned by Dizzy Gillespie https://www.discogs.com/Willie-John-And-The-Three-Lads-And-A-Lass-Mommy-What-Happened-To-Our-Christmas-Tree-Jingle-Bells-/master/1582839 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.90.31.248 (talk) 16:36, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled[edit]

How can it be said that John was "active" until his death in 1968 when he was arrested and locked up from 1964 on? 68.99.243.245 (talk) 05:10, 9 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of mention of Lee's version of "Fever" in intro[edit]

On the grounds that it is not pertinent to John's notabilty, I deleted the following phrase from the introduction: "the latter covered in 1958 by Peggy Lee." Jwicklatz (talk) 01:26, 18 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not really a problem. Personally, I loath the unnecessarily loose use of the term "cover version" for much later, quite different, versions of songs. Ghmyrtle (talk) 08:07, 18 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
