Lulu in Brazil[edit]

Lulu was first published in Brazil in the 60s. Since the 70s, in a licensing deal similar to what happened with Disney, brazilian companies have been publishing reprinted and original Lulu comics. If someone wants to find the companies and dates, that would probably be worth adding to the article. Lulu and friends are incredibly popular in Brazil, having on many occasions during this period had more than one monthly comic at the same time (typically, "Luluzinha", which is Lulu, and "Bolinha", which is Tubby). Some terms are ingrained in our very pop culture, like calling fat kids "Bolinha" (just like some Americans would use "Tubby Tompkins"), or using "clube do bolinha" (Tubby's club) to refer to anything that's male-only. -- LaloMartins 02:58, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Before all the voiceovering...[edit]

Lauri Hendler played Lulu in a pair of ABC Weekend specials, "Little Lulu" and "The Big Hex of Little Lulu". Also, if there was ever a daytime game show about Little Lulu trivia, Hendler probably kicked all kinds of ass on it. Asat 03:26, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Floory and Putchy[edit]

Little Lulu and Her Little Friends mentions these two characters, but I don't see them listed here. Does anyone know if they are based on any previously existing Little Lulu characters? Or could they have been created for the anime? Ranze (talk) 14:36, 27 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Jim and Ellie Tompkins?[edit]

I'd like a ref for the assertion that Tubby's parents are named Jim and Ellie, that is not from a Wikipedia mirror. The only refs I have found use this exact phrase:

His parents, Jim and Ellie Tompkins, have less patience with his antics than Lulu's parents have with hers

Which I believe is a mirror from an earlier version of this article. Not sure what's going on here but request a genuinely reliable ref, the material redacted awaiting that. Herostratus (talk) 17:32, 26 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I found one reference on a collector site, but they don't site a specific issue of the comic or anything, so that too may have been drawn from here. My family has a collection of this title so I will poke around a little bit. Newyorkbrad (talk) 18:59, 26 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
