Start/End dates[edit]

Here the end date for 1 golfer and the start date for the next are the same. However, this is not true since 2 golfers are not number 1 on the same day. In other words, the end dates all needed to be moved back by 1 day to show on which date who exactly was the world number 1. Supertigerman 14:01, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rankings 1986/1987[edit]

Are there any sources for the Rankings between April 7, 1986 and 1987? There are only the very first rankings in April 1986 and the rankings from 1987 onwards available in the archives on the official rankings homepage.

Also there is the week from Monday, November 16, 1987 to Sunday, November 22, 1987 missing in this list in which Greg Norman should haven been #1 ranked player (see here which states ranking AFTER week ending November 15, so from November 16 onwards). But this would extend Norman's overall streak to 332 weeks while all sources that I found state 331. The only other possibility could be that he didn't become #1 on September 14 (or 15) 1986 but on September 8 (or 9) 1986 but as I couldn't find any rankings for this period I just cannot tell. Does anyone know about that or have sources? --FeinerMax (talk) 22:05, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Frozen rankings[edit]

The rankings were frozen on March 20, and will remain frozen for the foreseeable future. How should the count of weeks at number one be handled when rankings resume?

I think we'll have to wait and see how OWGR handle it. I'm guessing that the weeks will simply be ignored, so Rory won't be credited with any weeks at number one during the frozen period. Nigej (talk) 08:00, 8 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Order[edit]

What is meant by order? Sequence they reached? Can someone explain this? ~ Tremello (talk) 04:15, 9 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
