Requested move

• List of unsuccessful terrorist plots perpetrated by ISIS -> List of terrorist incidents connected to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant

I went ahead and made a bold move of this page. I think the scope should be increased to include all incidents globally that are connected by a reliable source to ISIL. Whether this list should include attacks inside Iraq and Syria is debatable. I large master list of attacks would be the most useful. See also Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Stand-alone lists.

Other variants could be List of terrorist incidents related to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant or List of terrorist incidents inspired by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.~Technophant (talk) 15:59, 26 September 2014 (UTC)

Recent beheading in Oklahoma

Just in the news a recently terminated worker at a food distribution plant who has been described as a recent convert to Islam beheaded a co-worker and stabbed another. It's too early to say if this person is responding to Abu Mohammad al-Adnani's call to "kill a disbelieving American or European". Australian terror raids

There raids were not a terrorism incident. It was a counter-terrorism operation. The connection with IS is only a allegation at this stage. It has not been reported in Australian as an IS incident. Its not appropriate to add it to this page. - Shiftchange (talk) 23:21, 26 September 2014 (UTC)

Unclear inclusion criteria

The page says this is for 'terrorist' acts outside Iraq and Syria Not only does it list incidents that happened in Iraq and Syria but lists other attacks that happened more in the context of war or insurgency and are as such not individual events

Hundreds of people die in these war zones everyday, we do not have a page for the daily air raids by Assad regime that kill dozens daily so why do we have a page for minor attacks that happened in the context of a war just because it is isil? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.244.77.96 (talk) 00:59, 1 February 2016 (UTC)

I agree that inclusion criteria would be helpful. The recent truck attack in Nice and axe attack in Germany have questionable ties to ISIL, and the latter hasn't been described as a terrorist attack. — Malik Shabazz ^Talk/_Stalk 12:51, 19 July 2016 (UTC)

Why is Orlando shooting not included?

Why is Nice attack of 14 July 2016 not included?

Hamas not ISIL carried the June 2017 Israel attack

Israel Intelligence Rejected claims of ISIL attack in the June 2017 Jerusalem attack, and Hamas admitted to doing the attack and denied ISIL involvement. Let's ask a simple question - this is "list of terrorist incidents linked to ISIL"; does ISIL's claim of responsibility for a terror attack means "linked to ISIL"? I tend to think that the answer is yes.GreyShark (dibra) 16:19, 17 August 2017 (UTC)

Orphaned references in List of terrorist incidents linked to ISIL

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of List of terrorist incidents linked to ISIL's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Why does this page not include the Orlando nightclub shooting?

Verb tense inconsistencies in "Description" Section

Merger proposal

Timeline of ISIL-related events (2019) offers a very detailed account of ISIL-related events for several months in 2019. The article in its present form is very hard to keep up to date because its scope is so broad. I suggest that events from the months where there’s overlap between the two articles be added to this List article, and the Timeline article is then deleted. Oppose: the current structure seems to work, with a series of timeline article for each year from Timeline of ISIL-related events (2013) to Timeline of ISIL-related events (2018); the 2019 make a natural next in the series, although I accept that we may not need ones for 2020 and thereafter.
