How are the Astoria Riverfront Trolley and the Willamette Shore Trolley not rail transit?[edit]

I had put this section up for seasonal rail transit but it got removed for not being rail transit. What doesn't make them rail transit? It fits the Wikipedia definition: Rail transport is a means of transferring of passengers and goods on wheeled vehicles running on rails, also known as tracks. Why is Caltrain duplicated?[edit]

I noticed that there are two entries for Caltrain. Is this necessary? Also, why isn't e-BART included. -Morphenniel (talk) 15:01, 25 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Proposal to move "System" to the leftmost part of the table and sort it by that[edit]

Right now, "Region" is there, but given that the subjects of the list are the systems, shouldn't they be on the left? ParadiseDesertOasis8888 (talk) 15:22, 21 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Agree, this is a list of rail transit systems first and foremost. Since it is a sortable table, it can be sorted by the metro area column if the reader wanted. Plus the metro areas are not standardized and some just list cities within larger metro areas. It also looks awkward for some of the systems that cross metro regions or the unnecessary Tempe see Pheonix line. Gimelthedog (talk) 17:36, 25 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Criteria for inclusion?[edit]

It seems there is not a standardized criteria for inclusion for this list. SFO, JFK, and Newark's airport people movers don't seem to fit in here, and if they do then it would make sense to add all the other airport people movers in the US. There also seems to be some inconsistency between which heritage streetcar lines get included and which don't on here. A definition needs to be set.
