Some vandalism I saw[edit]

Just noting some apparent vandalism around 1923 on the list. --83.253.196.221 (talk) 20:15, 25 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Title[edit]

Surely the plural of "Lord Provost" is "Lords Provost"?

Agreed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.244.212.185 (talk) 05:34, 6 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Each of the 32 Scottish local authorities elects a Provost[edit]

This is simply not true. The Scottish Borders local authority does NOT elect a provost, but some of the local towns within the local authority do such as Hawick & Jedburgh —Preceding unsigned comment added by Michael Traill (talkcontribs) 20:19, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Changed to "some of Scotland's local authorities". Jonathan Oldenbuck (talk) 09:45, 30 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Brackets[edit]

Why are some of the dates (up to 1750) given in parentheses? Jonathan Oldenbuck (talk) 09:38, 30 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Two recent mentions of Sir James Stewart of Coltness[edit]

(1648) Sir James Stewart of Coltness (1658) Sir James Steuart With different spellings. They are also at odds with the pictured board. Furhermore these changes are not referenced. They are candidates for reversal unless fixed.BeckenhamBear (talk) 08:40, 27 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Move discussion in progress[edit]
