Untitled[edit]

I believe the mention of "Military Officers (commissions and promotions)" should be elaborated. Certainly not all commissioned officer promotions go through the Senate. There is some minimum rank beyond which you need the Senate's confirmation to be appointed (which also implies that it is nominally the President, not a military officer, deciding who to promote at this level). My only question is, what is the minimum rank needing Senate consent? Boris B (talk) 04:45, 24 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Title change[edit]

The current title ("List of positions filled by presidential appointment with Senate confirmation") needs to be changed; it's US-centric. Dr Gangrene (talk) 19:45, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Changing times[edit]

I feel as if the Presidential Appointment Efficiency and Streamlining Act should be watched very carefully. Therequiembellishere (talk) 05:36, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Now it's been signed and after two months none of these role will require advice and consent: [1] Therequiembellishere (talk) 22:23, 23 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Breakout articles[edit]

Do all of the Asst. Secretary positions warrant their own articles?Thermalgrain (talk) 15:45, 21 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Reorganize page[edit]

Would't it make sense to have the order via Department rather than committee so it is easier to find a position.Simmons123456 (talk) 10:02, 1 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
